Things I'm Loving July

Harem Pants

I love harem pants! They are comfortable and they can be dressed up or down. I have them in brown, silver, black and khaki...I may be a little obsessed...

Australis Paparazzi Perfect Blush

These blushes are highly pigmented and so lovely to wear.

Platform Heels

Not that I need to be taller...I just feel more feminine in a good pair of heels.

Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum

I'm using this to fight the dry winter air.

MoroccanOil Restorative Hair Mask

With my long hair split ends are a problem. But after discovering this product the ends of my hair feel smoother and stronger, and dare I say my hair is more manageable.

Let me know if you want a more in-depth review of any of these products :)

Dupe: MAC Dazzleglass Moth To Flame Vs. BYS Diamond Shine Lipgloss 02 In The Rough

I went into Gloss to pick up a few beauty products but what I didn’t realize is that I bought a lipgloss similar to one that I already have. In fact, they are so similar that I just had to blog about it!
So, here is MAC Dazzleglass Moth to Flame with it’s dupe BYS Diamond Shine Lipgloss 02 In The Rough!

How Similar are they?
Colour: They are both a dusty pink champagne colour. However, the MAC Dazzleglass is more peachy and the BYS Diamond Shine is more dusty.
Fragrance:  They both smell fruity, but the fruity smell of the BYS Diamond Shine is more noticeable.
Consistency: They are both thick but the MAC Dazzleglass is stickier than the BYS Diamond Shine.
Shine: The MAC Dazzleglass is a lot more glittery so if you like glitter on your lips go for this one, but if you don’t like so much glitter on your lips go for the BYS Diamond Shine.
Cost: The MAC Dazzleglass is $28.00 and the BYS Diamond Shine is $4.95!

The Swatch!

MAC is on the left and BYS is on the right

Beauty Tip Six: How To Store Your Perfume Correctly!

Depending on ingredients and storage perfume will last between 3 and 5 years. To prolonge the life of your perfumes store them in a dark, cool cupboard. Storing them in direct sunlight, heat, or cold (such as the fridge) alters the notes ultimately ruining them.

A Beautiful 3D Phone Case

With my new HTC Desire HD I was determined to find a pretty case for it and since failing to find one I liked in stores (mainly because most cases were for the iPhone) I searched for 3D cases on ebay and found this.

Why should iPhones have all the fun? :)

Marc Jacobs Daisy

I must have walked past the perfume cabinet at work a few dozen times lusting after this perfume before I finally decided to purchase it. The hesitation to purchase came from the fact that it's a scent I wouldn't normally wear, but the bottle decorated with daisy flowers appealed to me - it is so pretty!

To begin with  there is a strong scent of daisy which soon settles into lovely feminine and simple notes consisting of strawberry, gardenia, pink grapefruit, white woods and musk.

This I will be wearing in the Spring. It is really a beautiful perfume!

Beauty Tip Five: Mixing Foundations To Achieve The Right Shade For Your Skin Tone

If you are having difficulty finding the perfect shade of foundation for your skin tone here is a solution!

Choose a foundation that is a shade lighter than your skin tone and a foundation a shade darker than your skin tone and mix them together until you get the right shade for you.

This tip is especially useful when going from Summer months when your skin tone may be darker due to spending time in the sunshine to Winter months where there is hardly any sunshine.

I have done this with different brands and consistency's foundations and had no problem. For example, Laura Mercier silk creme foundation and Revlon Colourstay liquid.

Beauty Tip Four: Extend the Life of Your Spray Tan

To extend the life of your spray tan use a gradual tanning moisturiser in between appointments. I have been using Dove Summer Glow in medium to dark and I still look tanned after 3 weeks!
